현대차 아이오닉5 N <현대차>이러한 상징성 때문에 정의선 회장이 직접 신차 발표현장을 챙겼다. 정 회장이 마지막으로 신차 발표회장을 찾은 건, 그가 부회장 시절이던 지난 2018년 중국이다. 당시 현대차는 소형 스포츠유틸리티차량(SUV)인 코나의 중국형 모델인 ‘엔씨노’를 현지에 선보였다.그밖에도 정 회장은 2017년 코나 발표회·2015년 제네시스 브랜드 출범·2011년 그랜저HG 발표회 등도 직접 주관했다. 하지만 회장 자리에 오른 뒤로는 작년 말 출시한 7세대 신형 그랜저나 전기차 아이오닉5·6 등의 발표회 때 모습을 드러내지 않았다.
