시기별 한국 대기업 및 중소기업 주요 재무비율 비교. 한국은행 제공한국이 겪은 경제위기가 가계·정부부채가 아닌 기업부채가 원인이 됐다는 분석이 나왔다. 현재 중소기업의 높은 차입금의존도와 부채비율이 다시 위기를 초래할 수 있어 주의가 필요하다는 지적이 나온다.31일 조윤제 한국은행 금융통화위원회 위원과 최연교 과장은 '지난 60년 경제환경변화와 한국기업 재무지표 변화' 보고서를 통해 이같은 진단을 내놨다.보고서에 따르면 정부는 1960년대 들어 소위 '관치금융'이라 불리는 정부 주도 금융자원 배분 체제를 확립했다. 그 결과 기업 성장성은 높아졌으나 부채비율과 이자보상배율, 차입금의존도 등 안정성은 크게 낮아졌다. 이후 약 30년간 한국기업들은 취약한 재무구조를 바탕으로 고성장을 거듭하던 중 1997년 외환위기를 맞았다.지난 60년간 재무제표를 보면, 한국은 3번의 경제·금융위기를 맞았다. 가계부채나 정부부채로 위기를 맞은 타 국가의 사례와 달리, 우리나라는 모두 기업부채가 주 원인이 됐다.첫 번째 위기는 1971∼1972년 기간으로 제조업 부채비율은 1965년 93.7%에서 1971년 394.2%로 급등했고 차입금 의존도는 26.2%에서 55.9%로 상승했다. 또 두 번째 위기는 1980∼1981년이다. 당시 평균 부채비율이 1980년 487.9%, 1982년 451.5%까지 치솟았고, 자기자본비율은 각각 17.0%와 18.1%로 떨어졌다. 1997∼1998년의 세 번째 외환·금융위기 역시 부채비율이 1997년 396.3%까지 올라갔지만 자기자본비율은 20.2%로 급락했다.경제위기가 발생하면 기업 금융비용부담률이 높아지는 양상을 보인다고 보고서는 분석했다. 금융비용부담률은 1970∼1971년 위기 때 9.2∼9.9%, 1979∼1981년 위기 때 6∼8%, 1998년 9% 등으로 높은 수준을 보였다. 그러나 2000년대 들어 국내외 금리가 빠르게 안정되자 금융비용부담률은 2010년대 1.
