내년 5월부터 본인 확인 절차 강화

내년 5월부터는 병원이나 약국 등 의료기관에 갈 때 신분증이나 건강보험증을 반드시 챙겨야 합니다. 국민건강보험공단(건보공단)은 내년 5월부터 의료기관에서 건강보험을 적용할 때 가입자나 피부양자의 본인 여부를 확인하는 절차가 강화된다고 1일 밝혔습니다. 그동안 병원 등에서 주민등록번호나 외국인 등록번호만 있으면 진료를 할 수 있어 건강보험 자격을 도용해 요양급여를 부정하게 수급하는 경우가 있었습니다.이에 정부는 지난 5월 국민건강보험법을 일부개정해 의료기관에서 신분증이나 건강보험증으로 환자 본인 여부 등을 확인하도록 하고 이를 위반할 경우 과태료를 부과하도록 했습니다.다만 보건복지부령으로 정하는 정당한 사유가 있을 때는 본인 여부와 자격을 확인하지 않아도 됩니다.정부는 이를 통해 자격도용과 보험급여비용 낭비를 방지할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.건보공단은 제도 시행에 앞서 본인확인 예외 사유 등에 대한 의료계 의견을 듣기 위해 이날 의약단체와 간담회를 실시했습니다.아울러 편리한 본인 확인 절차를 위해 건강보험증 QR코드 등 시스템 구축을 완료했고, 병·의원 10개소를 대상으로 모바일 건강보험증 앱을 통한 본인확인 서비스를 시범 운영하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.  당신의 제보가 뉴스로 만들어집니다.SBS Biz는 여러분의 제보를 기다리고 있습니다.홈페이지 = https://url.kr/9pghjn.
