IBK기업은행 김성태 은행장이 취임 후 첫 국책은행 경영실적평가에서 기대를 밑도는 성적표를 받아들었다. 김성태 기업은행장의 모습. 기업은행 제공IBK기업은행 김성태 은행장이 취임 후 첫 국책은행 경영실적평가에서 기대를 밑도는 성적표를 받아들었다. 횡령 등 잇따른 내부통제 부실과 감사원의 ‘방만경영’ 지적 등이 원인으로 거론되는데 지난해 윤종원 전 행장 시절 '최고등급'을 받았던 것과 대조적이다. 이에 따라 은행 안팎에서는 취임 일성으로 철저한 내부통제를 강조해왔던 김 행장의 리더십에 대한 의구심의 목소리가 높아지고 있다. 현 상황으로는 2023년 경영실적평가가 더 좋지 않을 수 있다는 우려다.1일 금융당국 등에 따르면 금융위원회는 2022년 금융공공기관 경영실적평가에서 기업은행에 A등급을 부여했다. 평가 결과는 S부터 A~E까지 총 6개 등급으로 매겨진다. 등급에 따라 기관장 평가는 물론 임직원 성과급이 달라지는 만큼 해당 결과는 국책은행 임직원들에게 가장 중요한 이슈 중 하나다.당초 금융권에서는 기업은행이 지난해에 이어 2년 연속 1등급인 ‘S등급’을 부여받을 것이란 관측이 우세했다. 코로나19 사태로 어려움을 겪고 있는 중소기업 및 소상공인의 위기 극복을 위해 적극적인 정책금융을 펼쳤기 때문이다. 또 디지털 전환 등 혁신성 평가와 역대급 실적 등도 평가위원들로부터 높은 점수를 받은 것으로 알려졌다.하지만 기업은행은 기대에 미치지 못하는 결과를 받게 됐다. 이는 지난해부터 불거진 잇따른 내부통제 이슈가 원인으로 분석되고 있다. 국민의힘 윤창현 의원실 자료에 따르면 지난해 기업은행에서는 성범죄 3건에 은행 재산 사적 이용 사례가 5건이나 적발됐다. 2022년 유독 내부통제 이슈가 많이 발생했는데, 당시 내부 살림을 도맡은 이는 김성태 전무(수석부행장)로 현 은행장이다.문제는 앞으로도 내부통제 부실 등이 경영실적평가에 악영향을 미칠 것이란 우려다. 김 행장 취임 이후에도 내부통제 이슈가 계속되고 있기 때문이다.
