7월 소비자 물가상승률이 지난해 같은 달보다 2.3% 상승하는 데 그쳤다. 6월에 이어 두 달 연속 2%대 상승률을 기록하면서 6개월 연속 둔화 추세를 이어갔다. 2일 통계청이 발표한 ‘7월 소비자 물가동향’을 보면 지난달 소비자물가지수는 111.20(2020=100)으로 전년 동기 대비 2.3% 증가했다. 2021년 6월(2.3%) 이후 25개월 만에 가장 낮은 수치다. 물가상승률은 올해 1월(5.2%) 전달 대비 0.2%포인트 상승한 뒤 6개월간 4.8%→4.2%→3.7%→3.3%→2.7%→2.3%로 꾸준히 하락세를 보이고 있다.

김경진 기자 6월·7월 2%대의 물가 상승률을 기록할 수 있었던 건 석유류 가격 하락 영향이 컸다. 석유류 가격은 지난해 같은 달 대비 25.9% 하락하면서 관련 통계가 작성된 1985년 이후 최대 낙폭을 기록했다. 경유(-33.4%), 휘발유(-22.8%), 등유(-20.1%), 자동차용 LPG(-17.9%) 물가가 모두 하락했다. 김보경 통계청 경제동향통계심의관은 “석유류가 들어간 공업제품과 전기·가스 상승률도 함께 둔화하면서 물가상승률이 전반적으로 하락했다”라고 말했다. ━ 폭우 영향에도 채소류 물가상승률↓

2일 서울의 한 대형마트에서 고객이 크게 오른 상추 대신 알배추를 고르고 있다. 뉴스1 지난달 10~28일까지 이어진 집중호우 피해로 물가에 큰 타격을 줄 것으로 예상됐던 농산물은 전년 동월 대비 0.3% 오르는 데 그쳤다. 타격이 컸던 상추·시금치 등 채소류는 지난달보다 7.1% 올랐지만, 전년도와 비교하면 오히려 5.3% 하락했다. 김보경 심의관은 “지난해 폭염으로 채소류 물가가 워낙 높았기 때문에 기저효과 발생했다”라고 설명했다. 또 “채소류는 등락이 심해 물가를 세 차례 나눠 조사하는데 마지막 세 번째 조사 때 (폭우 영향이) 나타나 등락률이 낮게 나온 측면도 있다”고 덧붙였다. 8월 조사 때 폭우 피해 부분이 추가로 반영될 경우 채소류 물가 상승률이 올라갈 수 있다.
