美 ASMC 60% 상승했다가 30% 급락中서도 파얼성·바이리전기 등 관련주 상한가전문가 "상용화 어려워보여" 지적도[이데일리 박종화 기자] 한국 연구진이 상온·상압 초전도체를 개발했다는 소식에 전 세계 증시의 관련 종목 주가도 롤러코스터를 타고 있다.

(사진=유튜브 캡처)2일(현지시간) 마켓워치에 따르면 미국 나스닥에 상장된 아메리칸 수퍼컨덕트(AMSC) 주가는 전거래일보다 29.0% 내린 11.46달러에 장을 마감했다. 전날 ASMC 주가는 10.08달러에서 16.13달러로 단숨에 60.02% 폭등했다.마켓워치는 “한국 연구진이 상온·상압 초전도체를 발견했다고 주장하며 초전도체 기술이 많은 관심을 받고 있다”고 AMSC 주가 급등 요인을 설명했다. 송전·배전 등 전력 솔루션을 주력으로 하는 AMSC는 과거부터 초전도체를 연구한 선도기업으로 꼽힌다. ‘초전도체 테마주’로 꼽히면서 ‘서학 개미’ 투자금이 AMSC에 급격히 몰려들었다.전날 중국 증시에서도 초전도체 관련주가 일제히 강세를 보얐다. 이날 중국 증시가 약세를 보인 가운데에서도 초전도체 관련주로 꼽히는 파얼성, 바이리전기 주가는 모두 상한가(10%)를 기록했다.고려대 창업기업인 퀀텀에너지연구소는 지난달 상온·상압 초전도체인 LK-99를 개발했다고 밝혔다. 전기 저항이 0인 초전도체는 그간 극저온이나 초고압 상태에서만 존재했는데 상온·상압에서도 초전도체를 만들 수 있다면 기술 판도를 바꿀 수 있다. 슈퍼컴퓨터나 자기공명영상장치(MRI), 자기부상열차 등의 성능은 높이고 비용은 줄일 수 있기 때문이다. 다만 LK-99가 정말 상온·상압 초전도체인지에 대해선 추가 검증이 필요하다.닉 청 제프리스파이낸셜그룹 애널리스트는 “LK-99가 사실로 입증되고 양산이 가능하다면 광범위한 산업에서 파격적인 변화를 만들 것”이라면서도 사용화가 어려워 보이고 전선 등에 적용하기엔 연성이 부족해 보인다고 지적했다..
