SM엔터테인먼트 인수 효과로, SM엔터테인먼트 매출을 제외하면 전년 동기 대비 1% 감소했다.

사진=연합뉴스 수익성 악화는 비용이 늘었기 때문이다. 2분기 영업비용이 AI와 관련 인프라 투자, 데이터센터 다중화, 연결 회사 편입 등의 영향으로 작년 동기 대비 16.8% 늘어난 1조9290억원을 기록했다. 홍은택 카카오 대표는 이날 콘퍼런스콜에서 “상반기는 중장기 성장 기반 마련에 중점을 뒀다”고 설명했다. 4일 실적을 발표하는 네이버는 영업이익 증가세를 이어갈 것으로 전망된다. 금융정보업체 에프앤가이드는 네이버 2분기 영업이익은 전년 동기 대비 9.5% 증가한 3684억원, 매출은 18.8% 늘어난 2조4306억원으로 전망했다. 이에 부합하면 분기 기준 최대 실적이다. 양 사의 올해 실적은 AI와 서비스 개편 등이 진행되는 하반기에 달렸다는 분석이다. 카카오는 10월쯤 초거대 AI 모델을 공개하겠다고 밝혔다. 홍 대표는 “파인튜닝(미세조정)을 통해 검증하고 있으며 파라미터 수로 보면 60억, 130억, 250억, 650억개까지 다양한 크기 모델을 테스트하면서 비용 합리적인 AI 모델을 만들려고 한다”며 “많은 AI 모델이 나왔지만, 아직 비용·속도·최신성·정확성 네 가지 요소를 모두 갖춘 모델은 없다”고 설명했다.
