퀀텀에너지연구소 대표 “조만간 모두 설명”소식 알려지자 급락세였다가 덕성, 서원↑오전 -16%, 오후 +7%…롤러코스터 주가[이데일리 최훈길 기자] 퀀텀에너지연구소가 조만간 초전도체 관련 발표를 한다는 소식이 전해지자, 급락했던 초전도체 테마주들이 다시 반등하고 있다. 4일 마켓포인트에 따르면 이날 오후 1시56분 한국거래소에서 덕성은 전날보다 7.53% 오른 1만390원에 거래되고 있다. 서원(021050)도 0.68% 상승한 2235원에 거래 중이다. 덕성은 이날 오전 16%대까지 주가가 하락했는데 오후에는 플러스로 반등했다. 신성델타테크(065350), 원익피앤이(217820), 모비스(250060), LS전선아시아(229640) 등도 오전보다 하락폭을 줄였다.

LK-99의 초전도체 특성을 주장한 영상 캡처.초전도체는 전기 저항이 ‘0’인 물질을 의미한다. 손실없이 전기를 보낼 수 있어 자기부상열차 개발 또는 초전도 모터를 탑재해 가볍지만, 성능은 높은 자동차 등을 제작할 수 있다. 다만 초저온에서만 작동하는 만큼 상온 초전도체가 개발된다면 산업계 전체를 흔들 수 있다.관련해 ‘LK-99’를 검증하기 위해 구성한 검증위 위원장을 맡고 있는 김창영 기초과학연구원(IBS) 강상관계물질연구단 부단장(서울대 교수)은 지난 3일 오후 “지금까지 발표된 결과로는 초전도체임을 입증하기 부족하다”고 말했다. 이후 초전도체주는 4일 오전 무더기 약세를 보였다. 하지만 4일 낮 12시 전후로 퀀텀에너지연구소 대표의 인터뷰 발언이 알려지면서 주가가 반등하고 있다. 뉴시스, 한국경제에 따르면 이석배 퀀텀에너지연구소 대표는 최근 상온 초전도체 개발 성공을 주장한 논문 원고와 관련한 이슈와 관련해 “조만간 모아서 정리해 발표하는 자리가 있을 것”이라고 말했다.이 대표는 최근 논란이 되고 있는 상온 초전도체 주장 물질 LK-99와 관련해 “제조법을 모두 공개해 뒀다”며 “한 달 정도면 세계 연구진이 따라올 수 있을 것으로 생각한다”고 말했다. 이어 “LK-99 제조법은 다 공개를 해뒀다”며 “전 세계의 연구진이 후속 연구를 하고 있는 상황”이라고 덧붙였다.
