LK-99의 초전도체 특성을 주장한 영상 캡쳐. 사진=뉴스1 [파이낸셜뉴스] "우려가 현실이 됐다." 4일 국내 증시에서는 노벨상 수상감이라고 평가받던 초전도체 개발 주장에 폭등하던 관련주들이 일제히 급락했다. 초전도체 전문가들이 국내 한 연구소에서 상온 초전도체라고 주장한 물질 'LK-99'에 대해 "초전도체가 아니다"라고 결론내리면서다. 이날 오전 9시 2분 현재 유가증권시장에서는 서원(-18.77%), 대창(-17.78%), LS전선아시아(-15.93%), 고려제강(-14.63%), 이구산업(-12.80%), 덕성(-10.63%), LS네트웍스(-9.11%), 인지컨트롤스(-8.99%)가 동반 하락세를 보이고 있다. 코스닥시장에서도 모비스(-20.45%), 국일신동(-16.83%), 신성델타테크(-14.60%), 원익피앤이(-12.17%), 파워로직스(-13.12%), 피피아이(-9.06%), 비츠로테크(-7.53%), 티플랙스(-6.23%), 한양이엔지(-5.68%), 상보(-4.44%)가 모두 내림세를 보였다. 서남은 거래가 정지됐다. 이들 종목은 초전도체 테마 현상에 최근 급등세를 보인 곳들이다. 덕성은 지난달 26일 3375원에 거래되던 주가가 전날 장중 9690원으로 187% 넘게 올랐고 대창은 전일 가격제한폭(29.99%)까지 오르는 등 이상급등현상을 보였다. 이들 종목 대부분은 급등세에 투자과열종목으로 지정되기도 했다. 초전도체 테마에 휩싸인 일부 기업은 공식적인 입장을 밝히면서 "연관성이 없다"고 주장하는 해프닝도 발생했다. 대정화금은 "당사는 초전도체와 관련해 퀀텀에너지연구소와 구리 등을 포함한 거래내역이 없다"고 해명했다. 파워로직스, LS전선아시아 등도 사업보고서에 초전도체와 관련한 내용이 없어 논란이 됐다. 초전도체 테마는 지난달 22일 국내 민간연구소인 퀀텀에너지연구소가 논문 사전공개 사이트 '아카이브'를 통해 "상온, 상압에서 초전도성을 갖는 물질 LK-99를 세계 최초로 만들었다"고 공개하면서 불거졌다. 특히 미국 로렌스버클리국립연구소(LBNL) 연구원이 같은달 31일(현지시간) 아카이브에 국내 연구진 발표를 뒷받침하는 내용을 게재하면서 더욱 이목을 끌었다.
