서울의 한 동물보호소에서 고양이 일부가 고병원성 조류인플루엔자(AI) 감염으로 폐사한 가운데 이 보호소의 사료에서 발견된 AI 항원이 '고병원성'으로 확인됐습니다.오늘(4일) 농림축산식품부에 따르면 서울 관악구 소재 보호소의 반려동물 사료에서 고병원성 AI(H5N1형) 항원이 검출됐습니다.앞서 이 보호소에선 고양이 일부가 AI 감염으로 폐사해 방역당국이 사료를 통한 감염 가능성을 조사 중이었습니다.고병원성 AI 항원이 확인된 사료는 경기도 김포시 소재 업체 '네이처스로우'가 지난달 5일 제조한 '밸런스드 덕'입니다.농식품부는 앞서 지난 1일 이 보호소의 고양이 사료에서 AI 항원이 검출되자 검출 상황을 질병관리청, 지방자치단체 등 관련 기관에 알렸습니다.현재 농림축산검역본부의 역학조사관이 해당 사료에 사용된 원료의 유통경로 등을 파악해 추적 조사를 진행하고 있으며, 지자체는 제품 구매자를 대상으로 고양이 증상 유무를 조사 중입니다.또 방역당국은 항원 검출 뒤 업체를 조사하는 과정에서 일부 사료를 살균·멸균 과정 없이 제조한 사실을 확인해, 해당 사료를 회수·폐기하도록 조처했습니다.회수·폐기 대상 제품은 5월 25일부터 제조된 밸런스드 덕, 밸런스드 치킨 등 2개 제품입니다.이번에 바이러스 항원이 발견된 밸런스드 덕 사료의 경우 6개월 전 국내에서 AI가 유행했던 시기에 만들어진 국산 오리고기를 사용했습니다.방역당국에 따르면 해당 사료는 268명에게 총 1만 3천200개(150g 기준) 정도가 판매된 것으로 확인됐습니다.구매자를 지역별로 보면 경기 88명, 서울 80명, 인천 15명, 부산 14명, 대구·경북·경남 각 10명, 충남 8명, 전북·전남·강원 각 6명, 울산 5명, 충북·세종 각 3명, 광주 2명, 대전·제주 각 1명 등입니다.(사진=연합뉴스).
