슈링크 시술 받고, 서류엔 ‘도수 치료’직원들, 환자 데려오면 수당 받아보험금 타낸 환자들 “절대 안 들킨다고 했다”올 2월, 최대 1년 6개월 실형 등 무더기 처벌

일러스트=이철원 이 병원 수상한데? 피부과 전문도 아닌 양·한방 협진 병원인데, 소셜미디어(SNS)에 피부 관련 치료를 한다고 홍보하는 글 밖에 없잖아. 게다가 공짜로 시술을 해준다니. 뭔가 냄새가 난다.A 손해보험사 보험사기 특별조사팀(SIU·Special Investigation Unit)은 광주광역시의 한 병원에서 실손보험금을 청구하는 고객이 급증하자, 청구 내역을 살펴보던 중 이상한 점을 발견했다.지난 2019년 문을 연 이 병원은 양방과 한방을 협진하는 평범한 병원으로 등록돼 있었지만, SNS 홍보를 통해 지역에서는 피부과 진료로 입소문을 타고 있었다. SNS에는 ‘슈링크(얼굴 주름제거․탄력 개선)’, ‘레이저 토닝(피부 색소 침착 제거)’ 등 미용 목적의 시술을 한다는 홍보 글이 올라와 있었다. 심지어 이 시술을 공짜로 할 수 있다고 버젓이 홍보하기도 했다.결정적인 단서는 고객의 SNS에서 발견됐다. 발목의 인대가 손상돼 흔히 ‘삐었다’고 표현되는 염좌 등으로 보험금을 청구한 고객들이 입원 기간에 자신의 SNS에 이같은 미용시술을 받았다는 내용의 글을 올린 것이다. 이를 본 A 손보사 SIU는 결국 보험금을 받은 고객으로부터 허위 청구를 했다는 자백까지 받아냈다.50대 고객 B씨는 갑상선암 진단을 받고 항암 치료 후유증을 줄이겠다며, 이 병원에 2주간 입원해 각종 치료를 받았다. 이 명목으로 그는 치료비와 입원 일당 등으로 실손보험금 약 400만원을 수령했다. 그러나 알고 보니 B씨는 입원을 한 적이 없었던 것으로 드러났다. 심지어 그는 이 때 암 치료와 무관한 슈링크 시술을 받았다.
